Joseph Lee is a self-taught artist based out of Los Angeles. His portraits channel various observations ranging from pop culture references to the daily people he encounters on the street. His "faces" capture an external likeness while evoking the complexities of the human emotion beneath. At 27, Joseph continues to explore his never-ending fascination of true and primal emotions behind societal "masks". He has been sought out to do commissions for NIKE & Floyd Mayweather's TMT as well as private commissions throughout the world.

"Mark our words: it won't be long before Joseph Lee becomes a force to be reckoned with in the Los Angeles art scene. His acting background manifests itself in his work; Lee's ability to illuminate the raw, intricate details of a stranger's face is a talent that can only come from years spent studying faces and the emotions that inhabit them."

"I first discovered Joseph's work at the Artisan House in Los Angeles. His work titled 'Frank' literally caught my eye the entire evening as it felt like Kevin Spacey was in attendance. The colorful ferocity balanced by an honest portrayal of the subject made Joseph's work both captivating and desirable.

I was in the process of decorating our new office and I contacted Joseph immediately for a private commission of Floyd. The piece that he created has been marveled at by all witnesses, and having seen him physically put the paint on the wood I must say it was a phenomenon to watch. For an artist who just recently picked up the brush Joseph is a rare visionary who possesses an extraordinary gift."
